learn about c programming language variable

A variable is a data name that may be used to store a data value. Variable like a container that contains a value. A variable may take different values at different times during execution. But execution times constants are unchanged able. A variable name can be chosen by the programmer. And if you chosen a variable name in a meaningful way then your program would be understandable and easy for you. Some example of variable names:
               Addition
                Multiplication
                Subtraction
                Division
Some example of invalid variable:
222, *,%,12th,(variable) etc.

If you think variable name would be anything then you are wrong. There are some rules for writing a variable name. For example:
  • They must begin with a letter. For example:

            Variable
            variable
            v_ariable
            v_ariable-1
  • Variable length should not be more than eight characters
  • C programming language is a case sensitive language. So uppercase and lowercase are significant. For example variable ‘addition’ and variable ‘ADDITION’ are not same. They are different from each other.
  • It should not be a keyword. For example: main, for, if, else, jump, etc
  • White space is not allowed.for example: vari able,v a r i a b l e, etc
